"I cannot even imagine where I would be today were it not for that handful of friends who have given me a heart full of joy. Let's face it, friends make life a lot more fun.”~Charles R. Swindoll
Having no choice but to be "still" this last week. I have had the pleasure of reminiscing over the bloggers that I have met in these last several months. I have been blown away by you! I told a friend not too long ago, that if I never wrote another blog entry or had another reader, it would ALL have been worth it meeting the people I have met!!
I think what came to my mind most, was the fragrance of humility!
I have seen some amazing art work from every medium and genre. Your photography is breathtaking. I have also read some raw honest writing from your hearts. So gifted!! Yet your humble attitudes and willingness to encourage other people in your field, has been such an inspiration to me.
Friends, don't EVER lose that wonderful heart humility that you have. Continue to inspire and encourage others around you ......it is a sweet fragrance.
I leave you with some of my favorite quotes on humilty. These particular quotes have inspired me, kicked me in the backside and some have made me laugh!! Humor always helps :) and a few pictures (as always) in between.
Have a wonderful week friends!! Appreciate you all, Anni

"Once the amateur's naive approach and humble willingness to learn fades away, the creative spirit of good photography dies with it. Every professional should remain always in his heart an amateur."~ Alfred Eisenstaedt

"I have learned lately that at times I have avoided prayer because it is truly in the presence of God that we see the truth. We see His Love and we see our heart - so frequently I keep the noise level up in my life so that I don't face either. But when i get quiet and I listen and quit doing and asking...He shows me the most amazing things and I think - why do I not do this more often? Silly ME "~C. Heartwell

"Mary Higgins Clark was my age when she wrote her first book. John Grisham was turned down over 80 times before he sold The Firm. The same kind of story for J.K. Rowling. Fellow aspiring writers - stay the course!"~ S.Roberts
Beautiful quotes, and pictures. Thank you for the reminder to "do justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with your God."

SoOo thankful for His Mercy to us!!
Every time I visit this beautiful blog I am so blessed! Sometimes I feel like you are writing my own thoughts and because of this I feel such a connection. It is almost scary, but at the same time comforting to know I am not alone. All of the pics for this post are so beautiful! Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteHi Anni,
ReplyDeleteWhat a blessing that you had to "be still" this week! You have no idea about how YOU bless others, do you?? Your generosity of spirit, kindness, compassion and enthusiasm are all so attractive that people cannot help themselves - they want to be close to that kind of person!
Thank you for your gorgeous pictures which bring joy and awe at each thing God has created which you show through your camera lens. Thank you for all the quotes which provide food for meditation and/or conviction for change.
I for one am sooo very glad you have become a blogger... otherwise I would not have met you this side of Heaven.
Have a peace-filled rest of the week/weekend, friend. Hugs!
Kim,
ReplyDeleteI think it so cool when God does this! Iron sharpening Iron. And we ARE connected through Him. He knows. Kim, you are NOT alone sis :)

I so need His strength, mercies and graces. I am constantly refocusing and reminding myself of ALL these things that are written. We are in this growth and learning process together. I feel blessed to have I met you too through blogland!!
PS Someday I am hoping we get to meet and paint together before we graduate to heaven :)

ReplyDeleteThank You Carol!
ReplyDeleteI am still learning but I am sure enjoying it :)
I haven't been by in awhile so I read some previous posts. How's the back, is that what is still bothering you? Bless you, hope it straightens out soon. I can sympathize with you, have it all the time but when it really gets bad, it's horrible. Last time it sent me to the ER for the first time. The flower images are so lovely and the words, quotes are very uplifting. I agree with you on the blogger friends, it is a somewhat unexpected yet awesome blessing!!!! Take care of yourself and remember, saying no to one thing means saying yes to something else. :)
ReplyDeleteWhat gorgeous flowers and uplifting quotes. Thank you so much for a beautiful, inspiring post... the silver lining in your cloud of "having no choice but to be still"?
