Creative Photo Blur with MERCY

Before and after......

Nothing is more challenging to me as a photographer than to take pictures in low lighting conditions.Even if the object is holding still it's not an easy task! But then add movement to that recipe and you end up with a lot of blurry pictures!!

I have had the wonderful pleasure in recent months to help out a band with their promotional pictures. MERCY (featuring Lynda Morrison) has an amazing energy in their band. Soul, R&B, Rock'n'Roll, Blues, Gospel, Funk and even a little bit of Country is in their repertoire. If you don't start tapping your foot or grinning from ear to ear with delight from listening to their music, you might want to take a pulse!!

Most of the opportunities to take pictures of  MERCY are in live performances or during a video taping, so I haven't been able to use a bounce flash or reflectors. With that said, the obvious conclusion is I get a few blurry pictures! However instead of trashing the blurry photos I use a little creativity and some help from my photo software to gain some fun results! Hope you enjoy the pictures!! Anni
