Happy 50th Anniversary!

There is an old saying, "You can pick your friends but you can't pick your family." I prefer to twist that around a little and say "friends ARE the family you get to pick" :) And then there are those people that are both!!

I am a very blessed person to be able to call my brother and my sister-in-law my friends. Roy and I didn't have the pleasure of growing up together due to circumstances beyond our control, but in the last decade or so we have had a wonderful time getting to know each other.

I like to joke that we are twins separated at birth....he's 69 and I'm 45. Is that EVEN possible? My brother got ALL the good looks and charm in the family and I inherited what was left over in the gene pool. So I guess I had to settle for intelligence. (wink,wink...just kidding) I can hear you laughing Roy.

The purpose of this blog post today is to congratulate Roy and Judy. They are about to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary!! They were childhood sweethearts and their love has held strong for 50 years. You guys are a wonderful example to Reggie and I.  We love you both so very much.

PS Judy, don't let Roy take that "river" shirt to Europe okay? (laughing)
