Friends

My husband and I love to hike. One windy very cold day, he and I took a rather long walk on the beach. We were getting a bit tired, cold and shall we say....whiny from lugging around camera equipment. (Okay, I admit he didn't whine, it was all me.) But we pressed on a little further because we saw in the distance a couple of people taking in the majestic views.

Now, you have to look closely or you'll miss it. (click on the photos below and they will enlarge to a full screen) It's what tugged at my heart. These two friends, were older ladies and they had to walk a pretty good distance to sit where they were. They sat there for a long time never really  talking to each other, comfortably staring at the ocean and it's billowing waves. Seeing these women made me reevaluate my own life's circumstances, count my blessings and needless to say I didn't whine once on the long hike back.

Have a good weekend friends!

I liked that they were both wearing red and decided it would be fun to emphasize that as focal point for this photograph. (coastguard ship is in the background.)
